Maritimo 2 Rovers 3

How the Rovers ended up barely winning this game is one of the modern mystery's of football. The Rovers started out firmly in control, dominating a team they have had a great deal of success in over the past few season. The Rovers attacking line up of Bryce and Olly were causing Maritimo problems. Lawton was doing a fine job of stopping the play with Matty dominate in the air.

The first goal game after a great cross from Eoin found Paulie clear. Paulie made no mistake from the ground as Maritimo cried foul but if anything Paulie was taking out. Kieran found Jon at the back post to head home. Our new boy is sure good in the air. The game looked beyond Maritimo as the rovers went into the half winning 2-0 and cruising.

All of a suddent he momentum changed and the Rovers found themselves in a game. Maritimo came out of the half with guns blazing and had the Rovers back peddling. the first goal was a bit of fluck after the Rovers failed to clear a free- kick. At 2-1 the Rovers were crying out for someone to put their foot on the ball but they dont' have this player at the moment. 10 minutes later the score was 2-2 and it looked like one winner in it and that was Maritimo. The gaffer went back to the starting line up and after a great ball by Big Joe found Brodie down the wing. His speed took him to the by-line and his perfect cross went to bryce who made no mistake from a few yards out. Maritimo had a fantastic chance to level the score at 3-3 at the death, but Ben did very well to parry the shot out wide.
